BU Fatakada is Boston's premier garba raas team established in 2004. With members from California to New Jersey to right here in Boston, the team is made of students who share a passion and love for traditional Indian dancing. Named Fatakada, which in Gujarati means fireworks, the team is constantly bursting with energy, and is always ready to light up the stage. What the... FATAKADA!?
DREXEL DANDIYA
Drexel Dandiya is the first ever collegiate GarbaRaas team to represent Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the Tri-State area. Drexel Dandiya is the vision of 18 Drexel University students who hope to put Dragons on the map. We wish to join Drexel with our surrounding community and advocate Gujarati, East - Indian, and South Asian culture to our region and soon the nation.

Pitt PantheRaas
Time to pass go, collect 200 dollars and try their best to stay out of jail. As they make their way around the board, they’ve finally landed in Virginia. Hailing from the steel city, Pitt’s Pantheraas is here to play the game with players from all over the country. They’re proud to present all their hard work in keeping the Raas tradition alive with a collegiate twist. As our players line up on Go!, let’s see who comes out on top! UConn Thunderaas is Connecticut’s premier Garba-Raas team. We strive to bring a new, modern edge to the stage while keeping to our traditional roots. We pride ourselves in our creativity and power as we take the stage by storm!
UMD EntouRaas
Representing the University of Maryland, College Park, we are UMD EntouRAAS! Our team began 13 years ago when a group of friends decided to embrace their passion for raas/garba by forming a nationally-competing team. Today we've become a family that strives to continue this legacy. We hope to deliver an unforgettable performance that leaves the audience with the same energy that we dance with. As our name implies, EntouRAAS is an entourage that has a common goal held together by the high aspirations of each and every dancer. UVA HooRaas
HooRaas is a traditional Indian folk dance team that started in 2008. We perform at intercollegiate competitions around the nation with a 6-minute, high-energy acrobatic routine that incorporates traditional Garba/Raas elements with a modern twist. HooRaas also has a long history of performing at community events at the University of Virginia and across Virginia. We are a competitive team, but we are dedicated to spreading awareness of our dance style to new people in the community.

Charity
Portion of the proceeds will go towards Samvedana, a nonprofit organization working to eradicate malnourishment. Their project, Sattva, is a two pronged effort - giving nutrient-rich supplements to high risk kids and educating pregnant/lactating mothers on the subject to health and hygiene.
